RESOLUTION NO. 6201
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF MATRIX SERVICE,
INC. FOR REHABILITATION OF RESERVOIR 2-2 IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 515 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 515 of the City of Vernon
8 pursuant to Resolution No. 6194, and sealed bids were opened
9 on January 19, 1993; and
10 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to victor H.
11 Vaits, Director of Community Services, who has reported to
12 the City Council under the date of January 20, 1993,
13 recommending that Contract No. 515 for Rehabilitation of
14 Reservoir 2-2 be executed with Matrix Service, Inc. on the
15 basis of its bid in the sum of One Hundred Ninety-nine
16 Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($199,975.00),
17 being the lowest responsible bid meeting the contract
18 requirements.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
20 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
21 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
22 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
23 hereinabove are true and correct.
24 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
25 does hereby award Contract No. 515 to Matrix Service, Inc.,
26 in accordance with the recommendation of victor H. vaits,
27 Director of Community Services, and authorizes the Mayor to
28 execute said Contract on behalf of the City.

SECTION 3: All other bids are rejected subject to
execution of the contract and the City Treasurer is hereby
directed to return unsuccessful bidders any cashier or
certified checks deposited with said bids upon the receipt
of an executed contract from Matrix Service, Inc.
accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the city of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
