RESOLUTION NO. 6222

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ESTABLISHING HEALTH AND PERMIT FEES
APPLICABLE TO ALL PERMITS GRANTED BY THE CITY
OF VERNON PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 11.25, 13.7,
13.31 AND 25.12 OF THE VERNON CITY CODE AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 6073

WHEREAS, the Vernon City Code and, in particular,
7 Sections 11.25, 13.7, 13.31 and 25.12 thereof, provide for the
8 issuance of health permits; and
9
WHEREAS, Sections 11.25, 13.8, 13.34, and 25.12.4 of the
10 Vernon City Code provide that the City council of the City of
II Vernon shall establish, by resolution, health permit inspection
12 fees for the various types of businesses and vehicles requiring
13 health permits; and
14
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
15 Resolution No. 6073 on March 17, 1992, establishing health permit
l6 fees in accordance with said Code; and
17
WHEREAS, said fees established by resolution are hereby
18 determined to be inadequate; and
19
WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Vernon intends
20 to establish new fees as set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
22 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
24 finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
25 true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
27 establishes the following issuance fees and annual renewal fees for

permits granted by the City of Vernon pursuant to section 13.8 of
the Vernon City Code:

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
establishes the following issuance fees and annual renewal fees for
health permit inspections granted by the City of Vernon pursuant to
Section 11.25 of the Vernon City Code:

SECTION 5: The City Council of the city of Vernon hereby

SECTION 6: All delinquent fees shall be subject to the
l7 penalty set forth in Vernon City Code section 13.15.

SECTION 7: In addition to the foregoing, the licensee or
19 permittee shall pay all other necessary fees or deposits which may
20 be required by other ordinances or resolutions of the City of
21 Vernon or applicable State law.

SECTION 8: The fees provided for herein shall be
23 effective April 1, 1993, and all provisions of Resolution No. 6073
24 and all other resolutions in conflict herewith are repealed.

SECTION 9: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
