A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL
SERVICES OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO PURCHASE
TWO (2) FORD TAURUS AUTOMOBILES

WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on March 15, 1993,
7
recommended City Council approval of the purchase of two (2) Ford
8
Taurus automobiles for the Community Services Department at an
9
approximate cost of Twenty-Two Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Nine

Dollars and Thirty-Nine Cents ($22,349.39); and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to authorize the
Department of General Services of the state of California to
13
purchase said vehicles.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City council of the city of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained

hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
20
21
authorizes the Office of Procurement, Department of General
Services of the State of California, to purchase two methanol-
22
gasoline fuel flexible Ford Taurus sedans for, and on behalf of,
23
24
the City of Vernon pursuant to Section 10324, Public Contract
Code.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes and directs Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Clerk, to sign
27
28
and deliver all necessary requests and other documents in
connection therewith for, and on behalf of, the city of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
