RESOLUTION NO. 6263
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON, APPROVING APPLICATIONS FOR STATE-LOCAL
TRANSPORTATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FUNDS
WHEREAS, Streets and Highways Code Sections 2600
to 2602 established a state-funded State-Local
Transportation partnership Program (hereinafter ltSLTPPlt)
effective January 1, 1990, with a deadline of June 30, 1993,
to file applications for cycle 5 of SLTPP; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Services has
prepared applications for the resurfacing of portions of
Bickett Street, 37th Street, 38th Street, Irving Street,
Ross Street, 48th Street, 52nd Street, Vernon Avenue,
Seville Avenue and Bandini Boulevard in the city of Vernon;
and
WHEREAS, the California Department of
Transportation requires that, to participate in SLTPP, the
City Council adopt a resolution approving the applications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
further finds and determines that the above-listed
applications for State-Local Transportation partnership
Program Funds, which are on file in the Department of
Community Services, are in conformance with the City'S
capital improvement program.

1 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
2 hereby approves the submission of such applications by the
3 Director of Community Services for State-Local
4 Transportation Partnership program Funds.
5 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
6 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
7 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
