RESOLUTION NO. 6272
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF SULLY-MILLER
CONTRACTING COMPANY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 513 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Sully Miller Contracting Company was
awarded Contract No. 513 for work on Pavement Maintenance of
Various Streets pursuant to Resolution No. 6191 of the City
of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services has reported to the City Council of the City of
Vernon on June 9, 1993, that said work has been completed
and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The work of Sully-Miller Contracting
Company, pursuant to Contract No. 513 is hereby approved by
the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total contract amount is Two
Hundred Seventy-four Thousand six Hundred Forty-four Dollars
Ninety Cents ($274,644.90). There is now due to the
Contractor a final partial payment totaling Two Hundred
Forty-seven Thousand One Hundred Eighty Dollars Forty-one
Cents $(247,180.41), which is payable at this time, and the
remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount, or

1 the sum of Twenty-seven Thousand Four Hundred sixty Four
2 Dollars Forty-nine Cents $(27,464.49) is payable thirty-five
3 days after the adoption of this resolution.
4 SECTION 4: The city Council of the City of Vernon
5 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Sully-
6 Miller contracting Company and instructs the City Clerk to

file a notice of completion with the County Recorder.
SECTION 5:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be full force and
effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 1993.
