RESOLUTION NO. 6308
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A LEASE AND SERVICE ORDER AGREEMENTS BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND CALIFORNIA
PURIFICATION AND RECYCLING, INC. PROVIDING FOR
THE LEASE AND MAINTENANCE OF A REVERSE OSMOSIS
AND DEIONIZER SYSTEM FOR THE OPERATION OF THE
TURBINE GENERATORS
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon since 1987 has had a lease
California Purification and Recycling, Inc. to provide and

maintain a reverse osmosis and deionizer system (R.O./D.I. System)

to purify water for the operation of the turbine generators which

will expire on or about August 31, 1993; and
12
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to enter into a lease
13
for R.O./D.I. System with California Purification and Recycling,
14
Inc. for an additional three (3) year period; and
15
16
WHEREAS, California Purification and Recycling, Inc. will
provide maintenance for the R.O./D.I. System pursuant to two
17
Service Order Agreements for an annual cost of Two Thousand Fifty-
18
one Dollars and Seventy Cents ($2,051.70) plus the cost of
19
chemicals and extraordinary charges; and
20
WHEREAS, Kenneth J. DeDario, the Director of Light and
21
Power, has recommended approval of said Lease and said Agreements.
22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
23
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
25

hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
are true and correct.
27
SECTION 2: The City Council of the city of Vernon hereby
28
approves the Lease and the two Service Order Agreements, copies of

which have been presented to the city council concurrently with
2
this resolution, and the City council hereby orders said Lease and
3
said Agreements to be received and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
5
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said Lease and said
6
Agreements for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
7
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
9
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
10
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1993.
