RESOLUTION NO. 6312
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF, SIGNAL
MAINTENANCE, INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 516 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Signal Maintenance, Inc. was awarded
Contract No. 516 for work on Traffic signal Modernization,
Atlantic Boulevard and District Boulevard, Santa Fe Avenue
and Pacific Boulevard, Soto Street and Fruitland Avenue
pursuant to Resolution No. 6215 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services has reported to the City Council of the City of
Vernon on September 1, 1993, that said work has been
completed and recommends that the work be accepted and
payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The work of Signal Maintenance, Inc.,
pursuant to Contract No. 516 is hereby approved by the City
of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total contract amount is Seventy-
two Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($72,585.00).
There is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
totaling sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-two Dollars
Sixty Cents $(16,752.60), which is payable at this time, and

1 the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract
2 amount, or the sum of Seven Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-eight
3 Dollars Fifty Cents $(7,258.50) is payable thirty-five days
4 after the adoption of this resolution.
5 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon
6 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Signal
7 Maintenance, Inc. and instructs the City Clerk to file a
8 notice of completion with the County Recorder.
9 SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
10 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
11 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be full force and
12 effect.
