RESOLUTION NO. 6333
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF SULLY-MILLER
CONTRACTING COMPANY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 518 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, SUlly-Miller contracting Company was
Streets pursuant to Resolution No. 6265 of the City of
Vernon; and
WHEREAS, victor H. Vaits, Director of Community
Services has reported to the City Council of the City of
Vernon on October 6, 1993, that said work has been completed
and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2:
The work of SUlly-Miller contracting
Company, pursuant to Contract No. 518 is hereby approved by
the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3:
The total contract amount is One
Hundred Eighty-one Thousand One Hundred Eighty-two Dollars
and Sixty-nine Cents ($181,182.69)
There is now due to the
Contractor a final partial payment totaling One Hundred
Sixty-three Thousand Sixty-four Dollars and Forty-two Cents
$(163,064.42), which is payable at this time, and the
remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount, or

1 the sum of Eighteen Thousand One Hundred Eighteen Dollars
2 and Twenty-seven Cents ($18,118.27) is payable thirty-five
3 days after the adoption of this resolution.
4 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon
5 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to sully-
6 Miller Contracting Company and instructs the City Clerk to
7 file a notice of completion with the County Recorder.
8 SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
9 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
10 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be full force and
11 effect.
