A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TijE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SECTION 23, SUBSECTION (e) (6)
AND SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "A", PAGE 15 OF
RESOLUTION NO. 6277, WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY
AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6277 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1993, to be effective on

July 1, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
considered the performance of the City AdministratorlCity Clerk on
his annual review date for the purposes of considering a merit
increase; and

WHEREAS, Schedule II, Exhibit "A", page 15 of Resolution
No. 6277 provides for the position and salary scale of the City
Administratorlcity Clerk in the City AdministratorlCity Clerk

Department; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
20

to establish a new salary scale to provide for a merit increase
for the position of City AdministratorlCity Clerk in the City
AdministratorlCity Clerk Department and to provide for additional
benefits as set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
28 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Effective October 17, 1993, Schedule II,
Exhibit "A", page 15 of Resolution No. 6277 is hereby amended to
establish the salary scale for the position of City
Administrator/city Clerk in the City AdministratorlCity Clerk
Department as indicated on the amended page 15 of Schedule II,
Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto as Attachment A and made a
part hereof.
SECTION 3: Effective October 17, 1993, Section 23,
subsection (e) (6) of Resolution No. 6277 is amended to read as
follows:
(6) Unused Vacation/Executive Leave.
Any unused vacation andlor executive leave days
off can be carried over from year-to-year for a
maximum of two (2) years. In the event that
said accumulated vacation andlor executive leave
time is not used in the two-year accumulation
period, then the City shall pay him for any such
time not used at time and a half.
SECTION 4: In all other respects, Resolution Nos. 6277
and 6337 shall remain in full force and effect, and the provisions
in Resolution Nos. 6277 and 6337 not consistent with or in
conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
