A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING ROBERT HAWKEY FOR HIS MANY
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, ROBERT HAWKEY has been employed by the City of
7
Vernon since June 1, 1964; and
8
WHEREAS, ROBERT HAWKEY retired from the service of the
9
City of Vernon on November 14, 1993; and
10
11
WHEREAS, ROBERT HAWKEY was hired by the City of Vernon as
a Firefighter on June 1, 1964, and advanced to an Engineer in the
12
Vernon Fire Department on February 19, 1984; and
13
WHEREAS, ROBERT HAWKEY has faithfully served the City of
14
Vernon for approximately 29 ~ years, and his loss will be deeply
15
felt by the City of Vernon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon takes
this opportunity to commend ROBERT HAWKEY for his many years of
19
20
devoted service to the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
21
22
ROBERT HAWKEY continued success in whatever endeavors he may
23
undertake.
24
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon shall
25
certify to the passage of this resolution and present a certified

copy thereof to ROBERT HAWKEY and that thereupon and thereafter

the same shall be in full force and effect.
