RESOLUTION NO. 6355
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ADOPTING A SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE AND
IDEAS RESULTING IN TANGIBLE SAVINGS ("SPIRITS")
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has recommended the establishment
Superior Performance and Ideas Resulting in Tangible Savings
8 ("SPIRITS") Program to recognize employees for innovative ideas by
9 the presentation of various types of awards; and
10 WHEREAS, through the creation of this program, the City
II Council will recognize the value to the City of Vernon of employees

who
strive to give
superior performance
andlor who develop
innovative ideas with cost savings to the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
15
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
17
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
18
true and correct.
19
SECTION 2: The City Council hereby adopts the Superior
20 Performance and Ideas Resulting in Tangible Savings ("SPIRITS")
21 Program, effective January 1, 1994, as set forth in the document
22 entitled "SPIRITS Program", a copy of which has been presented to
23
the City Council concurrently with this resolution, and the City
24
Council hereby authorizes the City Clerk to receive and file said
document.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the city of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of November, 1993.
