A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING THE LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT
REQUESTED BY RICHARD FRIEDMAN AND THE ESTATE OF
ZOLTEN FRIEDMAN AND BY THE CATELLUS DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION BASED ON PARCEL MAP NO. 23882

WHEREAS, CATELLUS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION is the owner of
7
a parcel of land (parcell) located at 4707 District Boulevard in
the City of Vernon, and the Richard Friedman and the Estate of
8

Zolten Friedman (the "Friedmans") are the owners of a parcel of land
10

(parcel 2) located at 4717 District Boulevard in the City of Vernon,
all as described and shown on the attached Exhibit "A" consisting of
three (3) pages which is incorporated herein by this reference as
though fully set forth at length; and
WHEREAS, the Friedmans and the Catellus Development

Corporation previously submitted an application for a Lot Line
16
Adjustment which was approved by uhe City of Vernon pursuant to
17
Resolution No. 6127, which was corrected by Resolution No. 6213, and
18
which was reverted to its original boundaries by Resolution No.
19
6371; and

WHEREAS, the Lot Line Adjustment approved by City of Vernon
Resolution Nos. 6127 and 6213 was never recorded by the County
Recorder and, therefore, the revision of the Lot Line Adjustment by
23
Resolution No. 6371 does not need to be recorded; and

WHEREAS, this Lot Line Adjustment based on the property
25
boundaries contained in Parcel Map No. 23882 will be recorded by the
26
applicants upon conclusion of escrow; and

WHEREAS, the Friedmans and the Catellus Development
Corporation desire to adjust the common boundary between the two

parcels to create the two new properties as described and shown on
the attached Exhibit "B" consisting of three (3) pages which is
incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth at
length; and
WHEREAS, the Friedmans and the Catellus Development
Corporation have applied for a Lot Line Adjustment pursuant to
Government Code Section 664l2(d) of the Subdivision Map Act which
provides an exemption from the Subdivision Map Act requirements as
follows:
"(d) A lot line adjustment between two or more
existing adj acent parcels, where the land
taken from one parcel is added to an
adjacent parcel, and where a greater number
of parcels than originally existed is not
thereby created, provided the lot line
adjustment is approved by the local agency,
or advisory council...."
and
WHEREAS, victor H. Vaits, Interim Director of Community
Services, has recommended that said Lot Line Adjustment be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
true and correct.
SECTION 2: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment dated
December 22, 1993, to adjust the common boundary of the two existing
properties being described in the attached Exhibit "A", whereby said

adjustment will create two new properties as described in the
attached Exhibit "B", is hereby approved in accordance with the
recommendation of victor H. vaits, Interim Director of Community

Services.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
