A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "A", PAGE
18, OF RESOLUTION NO. 6277, WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY
AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6277 was adopted by the City
7
Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1993, to be effective on
8
July 1, 1993; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted

Resolution No. 6347 on November 16, 1993, approving and
authorizing the execution of an Amendment to the city Attorney

Employment Agreement by and between the City of Vernon and David
l3

B. Brearley; and
WHEREAS, said Amendment dated November 16, 1993, provides

for certain adjustments to the compensation of the City Attorney
effective March 6, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Schedule II, Exhibit "A", page 18 of Resolution

No. 6277 provides for the position and retainer salary of the City
19
Attorney in the City Administrator/city Clerk Department; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Vernon intends
to establish a new retainer salary in accordance with said
22
Amendment and to provide for additional benefits as set forth
23
therein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
25

CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
28

hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Effective March 6, 1994, Schedule II, Exhibit
3
"A", page 18 of Resolution No. 6277 is hereby amended to establish
4
the retainer salary for the position of City Attorney in the City
5
Administrator/city Clerk Department as indicated on the amended
6
page 18 of Schedule II, Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto as
7
Attacpment A and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution Nos. 6277,
9
6337, 6346 and 6372 shall remain in full force and effect, and the

provisions in Resolution Nos. 6277, 6337, 6346 and 6372 not
consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby

repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
l5
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
