A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A PRO FORMA MASTER SERVICES CONTRACT,
SCHEDULE D, BASIC STORAGE SERVICE AGREEMENT BY
AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND THE SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY

7 WHEREAS, a Gas Service Agreement with Southern California
8 Gas Company ("SoCalGas"), Prime Account Number 18-2157-437-8771,
9 was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
lO Resolution No. 5935 adopted on June 4, 1991; and
II WHEREAS, a Pro Forma Agreement for Gas Storage Service,
l2 Account No. V08, with SoCalGas was approved by the City Council of
13 the City of Vernon pursuant to Resolution No. 6103 adopted on June
l4 2, 1992; and
l5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
l6 Resolution No. 6257 on May 18, 1993, which approved a Pro Forma
l7 Master Services Contract ("MSC"), Account No. V08/18-2157-437-
l8 8771, with SoCalGas dated April 1, 1993, setting forth the general
19 terms and conditions under which SoCalGas would provide gas
20 services to the City of Vernon pursuant to the applicable Tariff
2l Rate Schedules and Tariff Rules which have been filed with the
22 Public Utilities Commission of the State of California ("CPUC");
23 and
24 WHEREAS, Schedule A, a service schedule incorporated as
25 part of the MSC providing intrastate transportation services, was
26 executed on May 13, 1993, by Kenneth J. DeDario, Director of Light
27 and Power, pursuant to Resolution No. 5958 in order to meet the
28 CPUC deadline; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6257 also approved MSC Schedule
D, a Basic Storage Service Agreement, dated April 1, 1993, which
set forth the terms and conditions under which SoCalGas would
provide firm gas storage injection, inventory and withdrawal
rights for the City of Vernon for the period of April 1, 1993 to
March 31, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to renew MSC Schedule
D, Basic Storage Service Agreement, for the period April 1, 1994
to March 31, 1995, under the same terms and conditions presently
in effect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves the Pro Forma Master Services Contract Schedule D, Basic
Storage Service Agreement, a copy of which has been presented to
the City Council concurrently with this resolution, and the City
Council hereby orders said Schedule D to be received and filed by
the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said Schedule D
for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
