A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NOS. 004 AND 005 TO
STATE-LOCAL TRANSPORTATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
AGREEMENT NO. SLTPP-5139 BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY
OF VERNON AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACTING BY
AND THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

WHEREAS, the State of California and the City of Vernon

entered into a State-Local Entity Master Agreement No. SLTPP-5139
9
for State matching funds on November 19, 1991; and

WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to enter into Program
II
Supplement Nos. 004 and 005 to said Master Agreement to cover State

matching funds in the City of Vernon for street reconstruction and

resurfacing of portions of Alcoa Avenue, 26th Street, Boyle Avenue,
l4
Fruitland Avenue, Malabar Street and Soto Street; and
l5

WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the improvements under
Supplement No. 004 for Alcoa Avenue, 26th Street, and Boyle Avenue
l7
is $249,652 with the City's share being $193,655 and the State's
l8
share being $55,997; and

WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the improvements under

Supplement No. 005 for Fruitland Avenue, Malabar Street, and Soto
2l
Street is $121,619, with the City's share being $94,340 and the

State's share being $27,279; and

WHEREAS, the estimated total cost of the improvements is

$371,271, with the City's share being $287,995 and the State's share
25
being $83,276.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

true and correct.

approves Program Supplement Nos. 004 and 005 to State-Local Entity
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby

Master Agreement No. SLTPP-5139, copies of which have been presented
to the City Council concurrently with this resolution, and the City
8

Council hereby orders said Program Supplements to be received and
filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute each Program

Supplement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4:
