A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AMENDMENT NO. 5 TO AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACTUAL
SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND
LEWIS R. ADAMS

WHEREAS, the City of Vernon previously executed an

Agreement for Contractual Services ("Agreement") with Lewis R.
8
Adams, pursuant to Resolution No. 5719, which was approved by the
9
City Council of the City of Vernon on February 20, 1990; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
approved amendments to said Agreement extending the term of the

Agreement pursuant to Resolution Nos. 5874, 5974, 6118, and 6266,

which were adopted on January 15, 1991, August 20, 1991, June 16,

1992, and June 15, 1993, respectively; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon and Lewis R. Adams desire to

amend said Agreement to extend the term of the Agreement from July
l7
1, 1994 to June 30, 1995.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does

hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
22 are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the city of Vernon hereby
24
approves the Amendment No. 5 to the Agreement for Contractual
25
Services, a copy of which has been presented to the City Council
26
concurrently with this resolution, and the City Council hereby
27 orders said Amendment to be received and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said Amendment for,

and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

5 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
6 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
