Resolution No. 6476 1 RESOLUTION NO. 6476 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING A LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED BY RODA INVESTMENT CO., LTD. AND BATTERY PROPERTIES INVESTMENT CO., LTD. AND MARCOS AND PATTI PENALBA 4 5 6 WHEREAS, Roda Investment Co., Ltd. and Battery Properties 7 Investment Co., Ltd. are the owners of a parcel of land (parcell) 8 located at 3211 E. 26th Street in the City of Vernon, and Marcos and Patti Penalba are the owners of a parcel of land (parcel 2) located at 3137 E. 26th Street in the City of Vernon, all as 9 lO II described and shown on the attached Exhibit "A" which is l2 incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth at length; and l3 l4 WHEREAS, Roda Investment Co., Ltd. and Battery Properties l5 l6 Investment Co., Ltd. and Marcos and Patti Penalba desire to adjust the common boundary between the two parcels whereby said l7 adjustment will create two new properties as described and shown l8 on the attached Exhibit "B" which is incorporated herein by this 19 reference as though fully set forth at length; and 20 WHEREAS, Roda Investment Co., Ltd. and Battery Properties 2l Investment Co., Ltd. and Marcos and Patti penalba have applied for 22 a Lot Line Adjustment pursuant to Government Code section 66412(d) 23 of the Subdivision Map Act, which provides an exemption from the 24 Subdivision Map Act requirements as follows: 25 26 III III III 27 28 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 lO and II l2 Services, l3 approved. l4 "(d) A lot line adjustment between two or more existing adjacent parcels, where the land taken from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel, and where a greater number of parcels than originally existed is not thereby created, provided the lot line adjustment is approved by the local agency, or advisory agency...." WHEREAS, victor H. Vaits, Interim Director of Community has recommended that said Lot Line Adjustment be NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE l5 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: l6 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does l7 hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove l8 are true and correct. 19 SECTION 2: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment dated 20 June 16, 1994 to adjust the common boundary of the two existing 2l properties being described in the attached Exhibit "A", whereby 22 said adjustment will create two new properties as described in the 23 attached Exhibit "B", is hereby approved in accordance with the 24 recommendation of Victor H.
