RESOLUTION NO. 6508
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF STEINY AND
COMPANY, INC., IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 519 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Steiny and Company, Inc. was awarded
Contract No. 519 for work on Traffic Signal Modernization,
Soto Street and Leonis Boulevard, pursuant to Resolution No.
6384 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Samuel "Kevin" Wilson, Acting Director of
Community Services & Water has reported to the City Council
of the City of Vernon on August 31, 1994, that said work has
been completed and recommends that the work be accepted and
payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL

19 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained

OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2:
The work of Steiny and Company, Inc.,
pursuant to Contract No. 519 is hereby approved by the City
23 of Vernon.
SECTION 3:
The total contract amount is Seventy-

26 There is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
six Thousand One Hundred Fifty-four Dollars ($76,154.00).

totaling Forty-seven Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-seven
Dollars Two Cents $(47,977.02), which is payable at this

time, and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total
contract amount, or the sum of Seven Thousand six Hundred
Fifteen Dollars Forty Cents $(7,615.40) is payable thirty-
five days after the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon
6 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Steiny

8 notice of completion with the County Recorder.

10 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
