A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ADDING SUBSECTION (e) (13) TO SECTION 25
OF RESOLUTION NO. 6467 AND AMENDING SCHEDULE II,
EXHIBIT "B", PAGE 15, AND SECTION 25,
SUBSECTIONS (e) (6) AND (7) OF RESOLUTION NO.
6467, WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN
EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6467 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 30, 1994, to be effective on
9
10 July 1, 1994; and
11
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
12 considered the performance of the City Administrator/City Clerk on
13 his annual review date for the purposes of considering a merit
14
increase; and
15
WHEREAS, Schedule II, Exhibit "B", page 15 of Resolution
16 No. 6467 provides for the position and salary scale of the City
17 Administrator/City Clerk in the City Administrator/City Clerk
18 Department; and
19
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
20 to establish a new salary scale to provide for a merit increase
21
for the position of City Administrator/City Clerk in the City
22 Administrator/City Clerk Department and to provide for additional
23 benefits as set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
25 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
27 hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
28 are true and correct.

SECTrON 2: Effective December 11, 1994, subsection
(e) (13) is hereby added to section 25 of Resolution No. 6467 to
read as follows:
(13) LIFE INSURANCE.
Life insurance to equal the sum of $310,000.00.
SECTION 3: Effective December 11, 1994, Schedule II,
Exhibit "B", page 15 of Resolution No. 6467 is hereby amended to
establish the salary scale for the position of City
Administrator/City Clerk in the City Administrator/City Clerk
Department as indicated on the amended page 15 of Schedule II,
Exhibit "B", which is attached hereto as Attachment A and made a
part hereof.
SECTION 4: Effective December 11, 1~94, section 25,
subsections (e) (6) and (7), of Resolution No. 6467 is amended to
read as follows:
(6) UNUSED VACATION/EXECUTIVE LEAVE.
Any unused vacation and/or executive leave days
off can be carried over from year-to-year for a
maximum of two (2) years. In the event that
said accumulated vacation and/or executive leave
time is not used in the two-year accumulation
period, then the City shall pay him for any such
time not used at double time.
(7) VACATION,
Four (4) additional vacation days in addition to
the vacation benefits provided for pursuant to

SECTION 5: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6467,
3 as amended by Resolution Nos. 6507 and 6551, shall remain in full
4 force and effect, and the provisions of Resolution Nos. 6467, 6507
5 and 6551 not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution
6 are hereby repealed.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
9 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
