RESOLUTION NO. 6596
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF C. T. & F., INC.
FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODERNIZATION-EMERGENCY VEHICLE
PREEMPTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 525 OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF
SAID CONTRACT

7 was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon

WHEREAS,
Contract No. 525 of the City of Vernon
pursuant to Resolution No. 6581, and sealed bids were opened
9
on March 7, 1995; and
10
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Samuel Kevin
11 Wilson, Acting Director of Community Services, who has
12
13
reported to the City Council under the date of
March 9, 1995, recommending that Contract No. 525 for
14 Traffic Signal Modernization - Emergency Vehicle Preemption
15 be executed with C. T. & F. Inc. on the basis of its bid in
16
17
the sum of Seventy Two Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-eight
Dollars ($72,368.00), being the lowest responsible bid
18
meeting the contract requirements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained

hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award Contract No. 525 to C. T. & F. Inc., in
26 accordance with the recommendation of Samuel Kevin Wilson,
27
Acting Director of Community Services, and authorizes the
28 Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf of the City.

SECTION 3: All other bids are rejected subject to
2 execution of the contract and the City Treasurer is hereby
3 directed to return unsuccessful bidders any cashier or
4 certified checks deposited with said bids upon the receipt
5 of an executed contract from C. T. & F. Inc. accompanied by
6 all required bonds and certificates.

8 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
9
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
10 effect.
