A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF TASK ORDER 95-01 (GAS SYSTEM
PLANNING SUPPORT) TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON
AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL, INC.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon adopted
8
Resolution No. 6482 on July 19, 1994, approving a Professional
9
Services Agreement with Resource Management International ("RMI");
10
and

WHEREAS, the city of Vernon needs assistance with the
12
analysis of proposed interconnections to serve a natural gas
13
system within its City boundaries; and
14
WHEREAS, RMI is a professional engineering firm which is
equipped and qualified to provide consultant and engineering
services for City's proposed gas supply and distribution system;
15

and
18
WHEREAS, the Director of Light and Power has recommended
19
the approval and execution of Task Order 95-01, Gas System
20
21
Planning Support (Exhibit B-2 Attachment to RMI Professional
Services Agreement Effective July 20, 1994); and
22
WHEREAS, the projected cost for said Task Order 95-01 is
$5,000.00 and said Agreement requires that the City Council
23

approve all Task Orders.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon

hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
2
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
4
hereby approves Task Order 95-01, Gas System Planning Support, to
5
RMI's Professional Services Agreement, a copy of which Task Order
6
has been presented to the City Council concurrently with this
resolution and the City Council hereby orders said Task Order to
7
8
be received and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
Task Order for, and on behalf of, the city of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
13
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
14
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April, 1995.

TASK ORDER 95-01
GAS SYSTEM PLANNING SUPPORT
RMI shall proyide professional services to the City of Vernon (City) to support the
City~s' })Janning <fnd development of the natural gas distribution system. RMI's work
to tk completed under this Task Order will be defined in individual requests from City
~taff representatives. -:nus work is an extension of previous plarming prepared by RMI.
The following outlines a range of activity for this Task Order and establishes a budget

SCOPE 'OF SERVICES
The Scope of work to be performed under this Task Order includes an initial defined
Task and future technical and economic assessments to be identified and authorized by
City staff. This work will include:

Review of proposed gas service arrangements as described in SoCal Gas'
December 8, 1994 letter.
consider adequacy of proposed interconnections to serve initial and
future gas system development
consider potential impacts on initial future tap costs of SoCal Gas
proposed approach
provide City written summary of findings from review
· Complete other technical and economic reviews as directed by City staff.
SCHEDULE
Schedules for each activity assigned to RMI will be established at time individual
activity is authorized by City staff.-

BUDGET
A budget of $ 5,000 is established for work to be completed under this Task Order. All
work will be billed in accordance with the hourly rate schedule in Exhibit A to the
Professional Services Agreement.
