A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING EUGENE M. DEFRANK FOR HIS MANY
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, EUGENE M. DEFRANK has been emp10yed by the City
7
of Vernon since November 20, 1957; and
8
WHEREAS, EUGENE M. DEFRANK will retire from the service
9
of the City of Vernon on June 29, 1995; and
10
11
WHEREAS, EUGENE M. DEFRANK was hired by the city of
Vernon as a Chainman in the Vernon Engineering Department, now
12
known as the Community Services Department, on November 20, 1957,
13
advanced to Engineering Aide III on May 1, 1959, elevated to
14
Engineering Aide lIon May 16, 1960, upgraded to Engineering Aide
15
I on August 1, 1966, promoted to Instrumentman on July 1, 1970,
16
17
and promoted to Survey Party Chief on June 1, 1974; and
WHEREAS, EUGENE M. DEFRANK has faithfully served the'City
18
of Vernon for approximately 38 years, and his loss will be deeply
felt by the city of Vernon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The city Council of the City of Vernon takes
this opportunity to commend EUGENE M. DEFRANK for his many years
23
24
of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
25

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
EUGENE M. DEFRANK continued success in whatever endeavors he may
27
undertake.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and present a certified
3
copy thereof to EUGENE M. DEFRANK and that thereupon and
4
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
