A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON REAPPOINTING WILLIAM M. MCCORMICK TO
SERVE AS A TRUSTEE ON THE BOARD OF LIBRARY
TRUSTEES

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18910 of the Education Code
7
and Section 2.34 of the Vernon City Code, Trustees serving on the
8
Board of Library Trustees shall be appointed by the Mayor by and
with the consent of the City Council; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6105 adopted by the
12
City Council of the City of Vernon on June 16, 1992, the term of
William M. McCormick serving on the Board of Library Trustees will
13
expire on June 30, 1995; and
14
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
15
Vernon intend to reappoint William M. McCormick to the Board of
16
Library Trustees for a term of three (3) years.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
18
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
20
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
21
are true and correct.
22
SECTION 2: Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City of
23
Vernon, hereby reappoints William M. McCormick to serve as a
24
Trustee on the Board of Library Trustees effective July 1, 1995
25 through June 30, 1998, a full three (3) year term.
26 SECTION 3 : The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
27 approves and consents to Mayor Leonis C. Malburg's reappointment
28
of William M. McCormick to serve as a Trustee on the Board of

recited.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
4 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
