RESOLUTION NO. 6675
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF ENCROACHMENT LICENSE
AGREEMENT NO. 380 BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY
OF VERNON AND DISTRICT SEVEN ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, District Seven Associates has filed an
6 application for an encroachment license agreement pursuant to
7 Vernon City Code Section 22.66 for the maintenance and
8 operation of 421 feet of 8" cast iron water pipeline under
9 District Boulevard, running southeasterly parallel to and
10 approximately 39.5 feet northeast of the centerline of District
11 Boulevard; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to issue an
13 encroachment license pursuant to Chapter 22, Article VI,
14 Encroachments, of the Code of the City of Vernon which license
15 shall be valid for a period of twenty-five (25) years unless
16 otherwise stated; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 5088
18 on February 21, 1984, authorizing fees for encroachment
19 licenses; and
20 WHEREAS, the Acting Director of Community Services
21 has recommended approval of Encroachment License Agreement No.
22 380.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
24 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
25 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
26 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
27 hereinabove are true and correct.

1 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
2 hereby approves the Encroachment License Agreement No. 380, a
3 copy of which has been presented to the City Council concurrently
4 ith this resolution, and the City Council hereby orders said
5 greement to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
6 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
7 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
8 greement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
9 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
10 certify to the pass,age of this resolution, and thereupon and
11 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
