A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF ARROW STRAIGHT
MARKING AND STRIPING SERVICE FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT
STRIPING 1996 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 528
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION
OF SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS,
Contract No. 528 of the City of Vernon
ursuant to Resolution No. 6703, and sealed bids were opened
on November 21, 1995; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Samuel Kevin
ilson, Acting Director of Community Services, who has
reported to the City Council under the date of November 21,
1995, recommending that Contract No. 528 for Traffic
Pavement Striping 1996 be executed with Arrow Straight
arking and Striping Service on the basis of its bid in the
Thousand Nine Hundred Eighteen Dollars
Cents ($32,918.39), being the lowest responsible
id meeting the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
F THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award Contract No. 528 to Arrow Straight Marking
and Striping Service, in accordance with the recommendation
of Samuel Kevin Wilson, Acting Director of Community
Services, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract

1 on behalf of the City.
2 SECTION 3: All other bids are rejected subject to
3 execution of the contract and the City Treasurer is hereby
4 directed to return unsuccessful bidders any cashier or
5 certified checks deposited with said bids upon the receipt
6 of an executed contract from Arrow Straight Marking and
7 Striping Service accompanied by all required bonds and
8 certificates.
9 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
10 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
11 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
12 effect.
