RESOLUTION NO. 6729
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF VASILJ, INC.
DBA IVANKO, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 526
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Vasilj, Inc. dba IVANKO was awarded
ontract No. 526 for work on 50th Street and 52nd Street
mprovement pursuant to Resolution No. 6635 of the City of
ernoni and
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Acting Director of
ommunity Services has reported to the City Council of the
ity of Vernon on December 13, 1995, that said work has been
ompleted and recommends that the work be accepted and
ayment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
greement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
F THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
ereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
ereinabove are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The work of Vasilj, Inc. dba IVANKO,
to Contract No. 526 is hereby approved by the City
f Vernon.
SECTION 3: The total contract amount including
Change Order No. 1 and Extra Work Orders 1 through 4 is
Three Hundred Nineteen Thousand Four Hundred Forty-three
ollars and one Cent ($319,443.01). There is now due to the
Contractor a final partial payment totaling One Hundred
Ninety-five Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars and

1 Seventy-one Cents ($195,779.71), which is payable at this
2 time, and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total
3 contract amount, or the sum of Thirty-one Thousand Nine
4 Hundred Forty-four Dollars and Thirty Cents ($31,944.30) is
5 payable thirty-five days after the adoption of this
6 resolution.
7 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon
8 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Vasilj,
9 Inc. dba IVANKO, and instructs the City Clerk to file a
10 ~otice of completion with the County Recorder.
11 SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
12 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
13 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be full force and
14 effect.
15 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of December,
16 1995.
