Resolution No. 6741 . 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 ~ 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 6741 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING A LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED BY PEERLESS PUMP COMPANY WHEREAS, Peerless Pump Company is the owner of parcels of land (Portion of Lot 5 and Portion of Lot 20) located at 4545 Pacific Boulevard in the City of Vernon, more particularly described and shown on the attached Exhibit "A" consisting of two (2) pages which is incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth at length; and WHEREAS, Peerless Pump Company desires to adjust the common boundary between the two parcels whereby said adjustment will create two new properties as described and shown on the attached Exhibit "B", consisting of two (2) pages which is incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth at length; and WHEREAS, Peerless Pump Company has applied for a Lot Line Adjustment pursuant to Government Code Section 66412 (d) of the Subdivision Map Act, which provides an exemption from the Subdivision Map Act requirements as follows: (d) A lot line adjustment between two or more existing adjacent parcels, where the land taken from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel, and where a greater number of parcels than originally existed is not thereby created, provided the lot line adjustment is approved by the local agency, or advisory agency...." 1 and 2 WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Acting Director of 3 Community Services has recommended that said Lot Line 4 ~djustment be approved. 5 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 6 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: 7 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon 8 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained 9 hereinabove are true and correct. 10 SECTION 2: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment 11 dated January 9, 1996, to adjust the common boundary of the two 12 existing properties being described in the attached Exhibit "A" 13 whereby said adjustment will create two new properties as 14 described in the attached Exhibit liB II is hereby approved in 15 accordance with the recommendation of Samuel Kevin Wilson, 16 ~cting Director of Community Services. 17 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon 18 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon 19 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. 20 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of January, 1996. 21 ~ 23 24 ATTEST: /?
