A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING JOHN M. BICKNELL FOR HIS MANY
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, JOHN M. BICKNELL has been employed by the City
7
of Vernon since February 1, 1965; and
8
WHEREAS, JOHN M. BICKNELL will retire from the service of
9
the City of Vernon on February 17, 1996; and
10
11
12
WHEREAS, JOHN M. BICKNELL was hired by the City of Vernon
as a Fireman in the Vernon Fire Department on February 1, 1965,
and promoted to Engineer on August 19, 1984; and
WHEREAS, JOHN M. BICKNELL has faithfully served the City
13
14
of Vernon for approximately 31 years, and his loss will be deeply
15
felt by the City of Vernon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the city of Vernon takes
this opportunity to commend JOHN M. BICKNELL for his many years of
19
20
devoted service to the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: The City council of the City of Vernon wishes
21
22
23
JOHN M. BICKNELL continued success in whatever endeavors he may
undertake.
24
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon shall
25
26
certify to the passage of this resolution and present a certified
copy thereof to JOHN M. BICKNELL and that thereupon and thereafter
27
the same shall be in full force and effect.
