A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "B", PAGE
11B OF RESOLUTION NO. 6651 WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY
AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6651 was adopted by the City
7
Council of the City of Vernon on June 27, 1995, to be effective on
8
July 1, 1995; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Vernon wishes to
establish the position of Battalion Chief in the Fire Department
to be applicable to all Fire Department personnel hired after
1986, who are appointed to such position, with the appropriate

salary scale.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
17
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
18
are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Effective March 17, 1996, Schedule II,
20
21
Exhibit "B", page 11B of Resolution No. 6651 applicable to all
Fire Department personnel hired after 1986, is hereby amended to
22
establish the position of Battalion Chief in the Fire Department
with the appropriate salary scales as indicated on the amended
23
24
page 11B of Schedule II, Exhibit "B", which is attached hereto as
25
Attachment "A" and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6651,
27

as amended by Resolution Nos. 6670, 6671, 6696, 6704, and 6715

shall remain in full force and effect, and the provisions of

Resolution Nos. 6651, 6670, 6671, 6696, 6704 and 6715 not

consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
4
repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
7
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of March, 1996.
