RESOLUTION NO. 6789

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF C.T. & F., INC. FOR
TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODERNIZATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 530 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT

WHEREAS, Contract No. 530 of the City of Vernon was
6
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
7
Resolution No. 6774, and sealed bids were opened on May 6, 1996;
8
and
9
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Samuel Kevin Wilson,
Director of Community Services and Water, who has reported to the
City Council under the date of May 6, 1996, recommending that

Contract No. 530 for Traffic Signal Modernization 2-1 b~ executed
with C.T. & F., Inc. on the basis of its bid in the sum of NINETY-
13
14
SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SEVEN DOLLARS AND NO CENTS
15
($97,587.00) being the lowest responsible bid meeting the contract
16
requirements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
18
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
20
finds and determines that the recitals contained hereinabove are
21
true and correct.
22
SECTION 2 The City Council of the City of Vernon does
23
hereby award Contract No. 530 to C.T. & F., Inc., in accordance
24
with the recommendation of the Director of Community Services and
25
Water, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf
26
of the City.
SECTION 3: All other bids are rejected subject to
27

execution of the contract and the City Treasurer is hereby

directed to return to the unsuccessful bidders any cashier or cer-

tified checks deposited with said bids upon the receipt of an
3
executed contract from C.T. & F., Inc. accompanied by all
4
required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
6
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
7
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
8
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 1996.
