A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "B", PAGE
14 OF RESOLUTION NO. 6651 WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY
AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6651 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 27, 1995, to be effective on
7

July 1, 1995; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Vernon wishes to
10
rename the positions of Civilian Traffic Officer and Jailor in the
11
Police Department with the appropriate salary scale.
12
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
13
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
15
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
16
are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Effective May 21, 1996, Schedule II, Exhibit
18
"B", page 14 of Resolution No. 6651 applicable to the Police
Department is hereby amended to rename the current positions of
19
20
Civilian Traffic Officer and Jailor to Vernon Service Officer in
21
the Police Department, with no change to the salary scales as
22
indicated on the amended page 14 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B",
which is attached hereto as Attachment "A" and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6651,
25
as amended by Resolution Nos. 6670, 6671, 6696, 6704, 6715 and
6760 shall remain in full force and effect, and the provisions of
26
27
Resolution Nos. 6651, 6670, 6671, 6696, 6704, 6715 and 6760 not
28

consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
2
repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City o~ Vernon shall
4
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
5
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
