RESOLUTION NO. 6816

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING APPLICATIONS FOR STATE-
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FUNDS
(CYCLE 8)

WHEREAS, Streets and Highways Code Sections 2600 to 2602
established a state-funded State-Local Transportation Partnership
6
7
Program (hereinafter "SLTPP") effective January 1, 1990, with a
8
deadline of June 30, 1996, to file applications for cycle 8 of
9
SLTPP; and
10
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Services & Water has
11
prepared applications for the resurfacing of portions of Corona
12
Avenue, Lorna vista Avenue, District Boulevard, 50th Street and
13
Santa Fe Avenue in the City of Vernon in the 1996-1997 fiscal
14
year; and
15
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation
16
requires that, to participate in SLTPP, the City Council adopt a
17
resolution approving the applications.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the city of Vernon
21
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.
22

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
further finds and determines that the above-listed applications
24
25
for State-Local Transportation Partnership Program Funds, which
26
are on file in the Department of community Services, are in
27
conformance with the City's capital improvement program.
28
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves the submission of such applications by the
1 Director of Community Services & Water for State-Local
2 Transportation Partnership Program Funds.

4 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of June, 1996.
