RESOLUTION NO. 6829
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF MATRIX SERVICE,
INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 527 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Matrix Service, Inc. was awarded Contract
6 No. 527 for work on Reservoir 2-1 pursuant to Resolution No.
7 6736 of the City of Vernon; and
8 WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of
9 Community Services has reported to the City Council of the
10 City of Vernon on August 13, 1996, that said work has been
11 completed and recommends that the work be accepted and
12 payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
13 agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
15 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
16 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
17 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
18 hereinabove are true and correct.
19 SECTION 2: The work of Matrix Service, Inc.,
20 pursuant to Contract No. 527 is hereby approved by the City
21 of Vernon.
22 SECTION 3: The total contract amount is Two
23 Hundred Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars
24 and Six Cents ($219,857.06). There is now due to the
25 Contractor a final partial payment totaling Forty-five
26 Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-seven Dollars and Seventeen
27 Cents ($45,977.17), which i$ payable at this time, and the
28 remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount, or

1 the sum of Twenty-one Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-five
2 Dollars and Seventy-one Cents ($21,985.71) is payable
3 thirty-five days after the adoption of this resolution.
4 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon
5 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to Matrix
6 Service, Inc., and instructs the City Clerk to file a notice
7 of completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
9 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
10 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be full force and
11 effect.
