A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF ENCROACHMENT LICENSE
AGREEMENT. NO. 382 BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY
OF VERNON. AND PAN METAL CORPORATION
WHEREAS, Pan Metal Corporation, Inc. has filed an
Vernon City Code SectIon 22.66 for maintaining a building
canopy, foundation, and retaining wall in 49th Street beginning
at a poInt approxim(itely 4;7.5 feet, and extending south into
the City right-of-way to a point approximately 28.5 feet north
11 of the centerline of 49th Street, all in the City of Vernon as
12 shown on the engineer's drawing marked Exhibit "A", attached
13 hereto and made apart hereof as though fully set forth herein;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to issue an
16 encroachment license pursuant to Chapter 22, Article VI,
17 Encroachments, of the Code of the City of Vernon which license
18 shall be valid for a period of twenty-five (25) years unless
19 otherwise stated; and
20
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted. Resolution No. 5088
21 on February 21, 1984, authorizing fees for encroachment
22 licenses; and
23 WHEREAS, the Director of Community Services has
24 recommended approval of Encroachment License Agreement No. 382.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
26 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
27 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
28 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
)
1 hereinabove are. true and correct..
2 SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
3 hereby approves the Encroachment License Agreement No. 382, a
4 copy of which has been presented to the City Council concurrently
5 with this resolution, and the City Council hereby orders said
6 Agreement to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
7 SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
8 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
9 AgreElmentfo+'1 and on behalfbf, the City. of Vernon.
10 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
11 certify to the passage.of this resolution, and thereupon and
12 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
13 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of September, 1996.
