RESOLUTION NO. 6850
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING A LOT LINE
ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED BY CATELLUS
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND DANIEL C.
FESSENDEN COMPANY
WHEREAS, Catellus Development Corporation is t,he
6 owner of a parcel of land (parcell) located at 4440 49th
7 Street in the City of Vernon, and Daniel C. Fessenden Company
8 is the owner of a parcel of land (parcel 2) located at 4455
9 Fruitland Avenue in the City of Vernon, all as described and
10 shown on the attached Exhibits "A-1" and "A-2" consisting of
11 three (3) pages which are incorporated herein by this reference
12 as though fully set forth at length; and
13 WHEREAS, Catellus Development Corporation and Daniel
14 c. Fe.ssenden Company desire to adjust the common boundary
15 between the two parcels whereby said adjustment will create two
16 new properties as described and shown on the attached Exhibits
17 "B-1" and "B-2", consisting of three (3) pages which are
18 incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth
19 at length; and
20 WHEREAS, Catellus Development Corporation and Daniel
21 C. Fessenden Company have applied for a Lot Line Adjustment
22 pursuant to Government Code Section 66412 (d) of the Subdivision
23 Map Act, which provides an exemption from the Subdivision Map
24 Act requ:lrements as follows:
25 (d) A lot line adjustment between two or more
26 existing adjacent parcels, where the land taken
27 from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel,
28 and where a greater number of parcels than

originally existed is not thereby created,
provided the lot line adjustment is approved by
the local agency, or advisory agency...."
WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community
6 Services, has recommended that said Lot Line Adjustment be
7 approved.
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
9 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
10 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
11 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
12 hereinabove are true and correct.
13 SECTION 2: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment
14 dated May 17, 1996, to adjust the common boundary of the two
15 existing properties being described in the attached Exhibit
16 "A-1" whereby said adjustment will create two new properties as

described in the attached Exhibit "B-1" is hereby approved in
accordance with the recommendation of Samuel Kevin Wilson,
Director of Community Services.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of September, 1996.

ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED BY CATELLUS
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND DANIEL C.
FESSEND.EN COMPANY
5 WHEREAS, Catellus Development Corporation is the
6 owner of a parcel of l.and .(parcel 1) located at 4440 49th
7 Street in the City of Vernon, and Daniel C. Fessenden Company
8 is the owner of a parcel of land (parcel 2) located at 4455
9 Fruitland Avenue in the City of Vernon, all as described and
10 shown on the attached Exhibits "A-1" and "A-2" consisting of
11 three (3) pages which are inco~porated herein by this .reference
12 as though fully set forth at length; and
13 WHEREAS, Catellus Development Corporation and D.aniel
14 C. Fessenden Company desire to adjust the common boundary
15 between the two parcels whereby said adjustment will create two
16 new properties as described and shown on the attached Exhibits
17 "B-1" and "B-2", consisting of three (3) pages which are
18 incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth
19 at length; and
20 WHEREAS, Catellus Development Corporation and Daniel
21 C. Fessenden Company have applied for a Lot Line Adjustment
22 pursuant to Government Code Section 66412(d) of the Subdivision
23 Map Act, which provides an exemption from the Subdivision Map
24 Act requirements as follows:

5 WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community
6 Services, has recommended that said Lot Line Adjustment be
7 approved.
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
9 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
10 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
11 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
12 hereinabove are true and correct.
13 SECTION 2: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment
14 dated May 17, 1996, to adjust the common boundary of the two
15 existing properties being described in the attached Exhibit
16 "A-1" whereby said adjustment will create two new properties as
17 described in the attached Exhibit "B-1" is hereby approved in
18 accordance with the recommendation of Samuel Kevin Wilson,
19 Director of Community Services.
20 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
22 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
