A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON REAPPOINTING THOMAS A. YBARRA TO
REPRESENT THE CITY OF VERNON AS A DIRECTOR ON
THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE ALAMEDA CORRIDOR
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY ("ACTA") AND APPOINTING
HILARIO GONZALES TO ACT AS THE ALTERNATE
DIRECTOR ON SAID BOARD

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6731 adopted by the
City Council of the City of Vernon on December 19, 1995, the City
8

Council appointed Thomas A. Ybarra to represent the City of Vernon
10
as a Director on the Governing Board of the Alameda Corridor
11
Transportation Authority ("ACTA") and appointed Hilario Gonzales
12
to act as the Alternate Director on said Board; and
13
WHEREAS, by minute order dated April 2, 1996, the City
14
Council appointed Hilario Gonzales to represent the City of Vernon
15
as a Director on the Governing Board of ACTA and appointed William
16
Davis to act as the Alternate Director on said Board during the
17
absence of Mayor Pro Tem Thomas A. Ybarra for medical reasons; and
18
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
19
to reappoint Thomas A. Ybarra to represent the city of Vernon as a
Director on the Governing Board of ACTA and to appoint Hilario
20

Gonzales to act as the Alternate Director on the Governing Board
22
of ACTA.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
26
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
27
are true and correct.

SECTION-2: The City Council of the city of Vernon hereby
2 reappoints Thomas A. Ybarra as its representative to serve as a
3 Director on the Governing Board of ACTA and hereby appoints
4 Hilario Gonzales to serve as an Alternate Director on the
5 Governing Board of ACTA, each with the power to vote in all
6 actions of said Board and to report to the City Council thereon.
7 Said appointments shall be effective until the death, resignation,
8 disqualification or subsequent removal by the City Council of such
9 representative.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
11 directs Bruce V. Malkenhorst or his designee to send a certified
12 copy of this Resolution together with the appropriate notification
13 to ACTA of such appointments.
14
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
15 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
16 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
17 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of September, 1996.
