RESOLUTION NO. 6886
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF INSITUFORM
SOUTHWEST, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 531
(REVISED) OF THE CITY OF VERNON

No. 531 (Revised) for work on Vernon Avenue Sewer

WHEREAS, Insituform Southwest was awarded Contract
Rehabilitation pursuant to Resolution No. 6819 of the City
of Vernon; and

WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of
Community Services has reported to the City Council of the
City of Vernon on November 21, 1996, that said work has been
12
13 completed and recommends that the work be accepted and
14

payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the
agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The work of Insituform Southwest,
22 pursuant to Contract No. 531 (Revised) is hereby approved by
23
the City of Vernon.
SECTION 3:
The total contract amount is Thirty-
24
25 six Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-five Dollars and Fifty
26

Cents
($36,355.50) .
There is now due to the Contractor a
final partial payment totaling Thirty-two Thousand Seven
Hundred Nineteen Dollars and Ninety-five Cents ($32,719.95),
of
"
1 which is payable at this time, and the remaining ten percent
2 (10%) of the total contract amount, or the sum of Three
3 Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-five Dollars and Fifty-five
4 Cents ($3,635.55) is payable thirty-five days after the
5 adoption of this resolution.
6 SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon
7 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to
8 Insituform Southwest, and instructs the City Clerk to file a
9 notice of completion with the County Recorder.
10 SECTIO~ ~: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
11 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and
12 thereupon and therea.fter the same shall be full force and
13 effect.
14 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of December,
