A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON APPROVING A LOT LINE
ADJUSTMENT REQUESTED BY DEUTSCH/SDL, LTD.
WHEREAS, Deutsch/SDL, LTD. is the owner of two
5 parcels of land (parcels 4 and 6) located at 4817-4911 Alcoa
6 Avenue and 4910 Boyle Avenue in the City of Vernon, all as
7 described and shown on the attached Exhibit "A" and Figure "A"
8 consisting of two (2) pages which are incorporated herein by
9 this reference as though fully set forth at length; and
10 WHEREAS, Deutsch/SDL, LTD. desires to adjust the
11 common boundary between the two parcels whereby said adjustment
12 will create two new properties as described and shown on the
13 attached Exhibit "B" and Figure "B", consisting of three (3)
14 pages which are incorporated herein by this reference as though
15 fully set forth at length; and
16 WHEREAS, Deutsch/SDL, LTD. has applied for a Lot Line
17 Adjustment pursuant to Government Code Section 66412 (d) of the
18 Subdivision Map Act, which provides an exemption from the
19 Subdivision Map Act requirements as follows:
20 (d) A lot line adjustment between two or
21 more existing adjacent parcels, where the land taken
22 from one parcel is added to an adjacent parcell and
23 where a greater number of parcels than originally
24 existed is not thereby created, provided the lot line
25

adjustment is approved by the local agency, or
advisory agency. . . . II

WHEREAS, Samuel Kevin Wilson, Director of Community
1 Services, has recommended that said Lot Line Adjustment be
2 approved.
3 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
4 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
6 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
7 hereinabove are true and correct.
8 SECTION 2: The request for a Lot Line Adjustment
9 dated April 1, 1997, to adjust the common boundary of the two
10 existing properties being described in the attached Exhibit
11 "A" whereby said adjustment will create two new properties as
12 described in the attached Exhibit "B" is hereby approved in
13 accordance with the recommendation of Samuel Kevin Wilson,
14 Director of Community Services.

16 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

That portion of Lot 25 of the 500 Acre Tract of the Los Angeles Fruit Land Association, in the
City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 3,
Pages 156 and 157 of Miscellaneous Records, in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the south line of that certain strip of land 17 feet in width, described as
Parcel 1 in deed recorded in Book 5694 Page 399, Official Records of said County, west thereon,
360 feet from the west line of Alcoa Avenue (formerly Magnolia Avenue), 50 feet in width;
thence west along the south line of said strip of land, 75 feet, more or less, to the northeast comer
of Parcel II A" in deed recorded in Book 14368 Page 6, Official Records of said County; thence
south along the east line of said Parcel ffA", 280 feet to the north line of a 17 foot wide strip of
