A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON REAPPOINTING LEONIS C. MALBURG AND
THOMAS A. YBARRA TO SERVE AS TRUSTEES ON THE
BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES

5 WHEREAS, pursuant to section 18910 of the Education Code
6 and section 2.34 of the Vernon City Code, Trustees serving on the
7 Board of Library Trustees shall be appointed by the Mayor by and
8 with the consent of the city council; and
9 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6455 adopted by the
10 City Council of the city of Vernon on June 21, 1994, the terms of
11 Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A. Ybarra serving on the Board of
12 Library Trustees will expire on June 30, 1997; and
13 WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
14 Vernon intend to reappoint Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A. Ybarra
15 to the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three (3) years.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
19 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
20 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the city of
22 Vernon, hereby reappoints Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A. Ybarra
23 to serve as Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees effective
24 July 1, 1997 through June 30, 2000, a full three (3) year term.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
26 hereby approves and consents to Mayor Leonis C. Malburg's
27 reappointment of Leonis C. Malburg and Thomas A. Ybarra to serve
28 as Trustees on the Board of Library Trustees for a term of three

1 (3) years as hereinabove recited.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
