A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION 6048 WHICH SET THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR REGULAR MEETINGS OF
COMMITTEES AND COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, in accordance with sections 2.5-4 and 2.5-5 of
the Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959, the time and
place of regular meetings of committees or commissions of the City
of Vernon shall be established by resolution; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Vernon adopted
Resolution No. 6048 on February 18, 1992, setting the time and

place for regular meetings of committees and commissions of the
13
City of Vernon; and
14
WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Vernon desires
15
to amend Resolution No. 6048 to change the time of regular
meetings of the Personnel Committee and the Finance Committee of
16
17
the city of Vernon.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
21

are true and correct.

SECTION 2: Effective August 5, 1997, the City Council of
the City of Vernon hereby amends Resolution No. 6048, specifically
Sections 4 and 5 thereof, as follows:

SECTION 4: Personnel Committee. The regular
meetings of the Personnel Committee of the city
of Vernon shall be held in the City Council

place on the next day thereafter, at the same
time and place.
SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6048
shall remain in.full force and effect, and the provisions of said

Chamber at the above-described location on the
Monday preceding the first (1st) and second
(2nd) regularly scheduled City Council meetings
of every month at the hour of 4:30 p.m. If said
regular meetings are scheduled on a recognized
holiday, said meetings shall then take place on
the next day thereafter, at the same time and
place.
SECTION 5: Finance Committee. The regular
meeting of the Finance Committee of the city of
Vernon shall be held in the City Council Chamber
at the above-described location on the second
(2nd) Tuesday of each month at the hour of 4:30
p.m. If said regular meeting is scheduled on a
recognized holiday, said meeting shall then take

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
