A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "B," PAGES
6 AND 10, OF RESOLUTION NO. 6976, WHICH FIXED
THE COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID
CITY AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6976 was adopted by the City
7
Council of the City of Vernon on June 25, 1997, to be effective on
8
July 1, 1997; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
{i} delete the position of Business Development & Information
Systems Manager in the Light & Power Department; and (ii) change
the position of Resource Scheduler in the Light & Power Department

so as to include such position in the same category as the
14
position of Systems Coordinator I with the appropriate salary
15
scale to reflect said reorganization.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
17
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The city Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
19
20
are true and correct.
21
SECTION 2: Effective September 16, 1997, Schedule II,
22
Exhibit "B," pages 6 and 10 of Resolution No. 6976 applicable to
23
the Light & Power Department is hereby amended to:
(i) delete the position of Business Development &
24

Information Systems Manager in the Vernon Light & Power Department
as indicated on the amended page 6 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B,"
26

which is attached hereto as Attachment "A" and made a part hereof;

(ii) change the position of Resource Scheduler in the
3 Vernon Light & Power Department so as to include such position in
4 the same category as the position of Systems Coordinator I as
5
indicated on the amended page 10 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B,"
6 which is attached hereto as Attachment "B" and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6976,
8 as amended by Resolution No. 7010, shall remain in full force and
9 effect, and the provisions of Resolution Nos. 6976 and 7010 not
10 consistent with or in conflict with this resolution are hereby
11 repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
13 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
14 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
15 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of september, 1997.
