A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6438 BY
APPOINTING WILLIAM DAVIS AS THE ALTERNATE
MEMBER TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF VERNON ON THE
SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6438, adopted by the city
Council of the City of Vernon on May 17, 1994, appointed Hilario
Gonzales to serve as the City's Member on the Southeast Community
Development Corporation Board of Directors ("SCDC") and the City

Administrator Bruce V. Malkenhorst to serve as an Alternate
11
12
Member; and
13
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
14
to appoint William Davis to act as the Alternate Member of the
SCDC on the SCDC Board of Directors replacing Bruce V.
15
Malkenhorst.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
20
hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The city Council of the City of Vernon
hereby appoints Councilman William Davis as the Alternate Member
23
24
to represent the City of Vernon on the SCDC Board of Directors
replacing the present Alternate Member, City Administrator Bruce
25
V. Malkenhorst.

SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6438
shall remain in full force and effect, and the provisions of said

1 Resolution not consistent with or in conflict with this resolution
2 are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
4
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of October, 1997.
