RESOLUTION NO. 7044

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AUCTION SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR
MISCELLANEOUS SURPLUS PROPERTY BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF VERNON AND NATIONWIDE AUCTION
SYSTEMS

WHEREAS, City desires to employ Nationwide Auction
7
Systems to furnish professional auctioneering services for the
8
sale of miscellaneous surplus equipment and supplies; and
9
WHEREAS, Nationwide Auction Systems is qualified to
10
provide the professional auctioneering services; and
11
WHEREAS, Nationwide Auction Systems has agreed to a
12
paYment schedule for auctioneering services involving
13
miscellaneous surplus equipment and supplies for a fee of 7.98% of
14
gross per unit sales; and
15
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has recommended that
Nationwide Auction Systems be hired to perform professional
16

auctioneering services for the City; and
18
WHEREAS, the City desires to engage Nationwide Auction
19
Systems to perform professional auctioneering services.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
24 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
26 hereby approves the Auction Services Agreement, a copy of which
27 has been presented to the City Council concurrently with this
28 resolution, and the City Council hereby orders said Agreement to

1 be received and filed by the City Clerk.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the city of Vernon
3 hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said
4 Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
6 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
7 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
8 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of December, 1997.
