RESOLUTION NO. 7045
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 544 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON FOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF
FUEL AND WASTE OIL TANKS AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS IN ACCORDANCE
THEREWITH.
6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City
7 Council of the City of Vernon Contract No. 544 for
8 Removal and Replacement of Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
10 has determined that it is in the best interests of the City
11 of Vernon that said contract be advertised in accordance
12 with applicable State law.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
14 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
15 SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
16 hereby finds and determines that the recitals contained
17 hereinabove are true and correct.
18 SECTION 2: Contract No. 544, Removal and
19 Replacement of Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks; is hereby approved
20 and accepted by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
21 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
22 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of
23 the City of Vernon a copy of said contract.
24 SECrION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
25 is hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting
26 sealed proposals or bids for Removal and Replacement of Fuel
27 Oil Tanks in accordance with Contract No. 544 and in
28 accordance with this resolution.

1 SECTION !?: There being no.newspaper of general
2 circulation printed, published or circulated in the City of
3 Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby directed to post said
4 notice, or cause the same to be posted, in three of the most
5 public places in the City of Vernon, to wit: the northwest
6 corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast
7 corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the
8 bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the City of
9 Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
11 is hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the
12 first posting of said notice shall be not less than ten (10)
13 days before the opening of the bids for the proposed
14 contract. Said notice shall provide that sealed proposals
15 or bids will be received by the City of Vernon at the office
16 of the City Clerk of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa
17 Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA 90058-0805, until the hour of 2:00
18 p. m. on the 18th day of December, 1997.
19 SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
20 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and

thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of November,
1997.
