The renewal rates will continue unchanged as follows: Current Rates: Renewal Rates: Increase Employee $ 98.58 ~ 98.58 ZERO Two Party $ 226.70 ~ 226.70 ZERO Family $ 394.59 ,$394.59 ZERO As you know, with this rate action Universal Care has not had a premium change since the inception of their 'Coverage on January 1, 1996. This means that with the renewal the same rates will have been inforce for (3) three years. This is, indeed, rare in these times of high medical inflation. We are, needless to say, very pleased with this rate action. Should you have any questions, I will be very happy to answer them. Sincerely, . .~;;;// .. P. ? '//Peter H. We appreciate your confirmation that the city will not go through a bidding process for the ensuing one year term and look forward to examining how our Point of Service Choice Plan rider will support a number of the city's employees needs. Evelyn will coordinate the open enrollment effort and will begin the communication of our POS plan's advantages within the next week. It's always a pleasure speaking with you and your staff.
