Resolution No. 71071 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 7107 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, FUNCTIONING AS THE PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF VERNON, RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE REVISED BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE INDUSTRIAL REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 7068 adopted'on January 6, 1998, designated a redevelopment survey area within the City of Vernon, and WHEREAS, Section 33322 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code, Sections 33000, et sea.) provides for the planning commission of the City of Vernon to select a redevelopment project area from within the boundaries of the survey area; and WHEREAS, Section 33008 of the Community Redevelopment Law (defines the "planning commission" as used therein as the planning agency for the city established pursuant to law or charter;. and WHEREAS, the City Council as authorized by Section 65100 (of the California Government Code has established itself as the planning agency of the City of Vernon; and WHEREAS, the City Council, functioning as the planning agency of the City of Vernon, by Resolution 7076 adopted on (January 27, 1998, selected the Amendment Project Area for the proposed First Amendment to the Industrial Redevelopment Project area from within the boundaries of the designated redevelopment survey area, and adopted the Preliminary Plan for the First Amendment to the Industrial Redevelopment Project therefor; and WHEREAS, a map and description of the boundaries of the im 0 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Amendment Project Area for the proposed First Amendment to the Industrial Redevelopment Project area, as shown on the "Project Area Map" attached to the Preliminary Plan as Exhibit 1 and described on the "Description of Project Area Boundaries" attached 11to the Preliminary Plan as Exhibit 2, was sent to appropriate 11officials and agencies in accordance with Resolution No. RA-112 of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Vernon adopted on January 27, 1998; and WHEREAS, certain of said officials and agencies requested technical and conforming corrections to said Map and Description, and the City Council desires to approve and ratify the revised boundaries of the Amendment Project area reflecting those 1corrections. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove are true and correct. SECTION 2: This resolution is adopted by the City Council functioning as the planning agency of the City of Vernon. SECTION 3: The City Council hereby approves and ratifies the revised "Project Area Map" and the revised "Description of Project Area Boundaries," copies of which has been presented to the City Council concurrently with this resolution, and the City Council hereby orders said revised "Project Area Map" and "Description of Project Area Boundaries" to be received and filed by the City Clerk. SECTION 4: The Director of Community Services is hereby -2- 1 authorized and directed to attach the revised "Project Area Map" 2 to the Preliminary Plan for the First Amendment to the Industrial 3 Redevelopment Project as Exhibit 1 and to attach the revised 4 "Description of Project Area Boundaries" to the Preliminary Plan 5 for the First Amendment to the Industrial Redevelopment Project as 6 Exhibit 2. 7 SECTION 5: The Director of Community Services is hereby 8 authorized and directed to submit the Preliminary Plan for the 9 First Amendment to the Industrial Redevelopment Project, as hereby 10 revised, to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Vernon. 11 SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall 12 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and 13 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. 14 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of April, 1998. 15 EONIS C.
