RESOLUTION NO. 7116
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE III, EXHIBIT "C" AND
SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "B," PAGE 10, OF RESOLUTION
NO. 6976, WHICH FIXED THE COMPENSATION FOR
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZED
CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6976 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 25, 1997, to be effective on
July 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
amend Schedule III, Exhibit "C" of Resolution No. 6976 and to
amend page 10 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of said Resolution by
(i) changing the automobile allowance for the position of
Electrical Engineering Manager, a position which is vacant, to an
automobile allowance for the Assistant Director of Engineering &
Operations; and (ii) modifying the Systems Coordinator II
classification in the Light & Power Department to accommodate the
position of Systems Coordinator II Trainee in the salary scale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
are true and correct.
SECTION 2: Effective March 15, 1998, Schedule III,
Exhibit "C" of Resolution No. 6976 is hereby amended to change the
automobile allowance for the position of Electrical Engineering
Manager, a position which is vacant, to an automobile allowance
for the Assistant Director of Engineering & Operations as

indicated on the amended Schedule III, Exhibit "C," which is
attached hereto as Attachment "A" and made a part hereof.
SECTION 3: Effective March 29, 1998, Schedule II,
Exhibit "B," page 10 of Resolution No. 6976 applicable to the
Light & Power Department is hereby amended to modify the Systems
Coordinator II classification to accommodate the position of
Systems Coordinator II Trainee as indicated on the amended page 10
of Schedule II, Exhibit "B," which is attached hereto as
Attachment "B" and made a part hereof.
SECTION 4: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6976,
as amended by Resolution Nos. 7010, 7022 and 7058 shall remain in
full force and effect, and the provisions of Resolution Nos. 6976,
7010, 7022, and 7058 not consistent with or in conflict with this
resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

When authorized in advance by the City Council, in addition to said salaries, each officer
or policeman shall receive an additional sum of one hundred forty-five dollars ($145.00)
per month for his automobile if used in the service of or engaged for the use of the City.
This allowance is for the use and maintenance of said motor vehicle.
When authorized in advance by the Department Head, an employee using his/her
personal car for City business will be reimbursed at twenty-five cents (.25c) per mile.
