RESOLUTION NO. 7139
A RESOLUTION.OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE II, EXHIBIT "B," PAGES
6 AND 7, OF RESOLUTION NO. 6976, WHICH FIXED THE
COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY
AND AUTHORIZED CERTAIN EXPENSE ALLOWANCES
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6976 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on June 25, 1997, to be effective on
July 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes to
amend pages 6 and 7 of Schedule II, Exhibit "B" of Resolution No.
6976 by (i) eliminating the position of Gas Engineer in the Light
& Power Department and creating the position of Gas Systems
Superintendent with the appropriate salary scale; and (ii)
eliminating one of the Associate Engineer positions in the Light &
Power Department and creating an Energy Management Representative
position with no change in salary level.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
fare true and correct.
SECTION 2: Effective June 7, 1998, Schedule II, Exhibit
"B," pages 6 and 7 of Resolution No. 6976 applicable to the Light
& Power Department is hereby amended to (i) eliminate the position
of Gas Engineer and create the position of Gas Systems
Superintendent with an appropriate salary scale; and (ii)
eliminate one of the Associate Engineer positions and create an

Energy Management Representative position with no change in salary
level as indicated on the amended pages 6 and 7 of Schedule II,
Exhibit "B," which is attached hereto as Attachment "A" and made a
part hereof.
SECTION 3: In all other respects, Resolution No. 6976,
as amended by Resolution Nos. 7010, 7022, 7058 and 7116 shall
remain in full force and effect, and the provisions of Resolution
Nos. 6976, 7010, 7022, 7058 and 7116 not consistent with or in
conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
