Howard Stubbins was hired by the City of Vernon Fire Department on December 16, 1960 as a
Fireman, He was promoted to Autofireman April 1, 1971 to Engineer July 1, 1979 and to Captain
December 14, 1981. Howard retired on December 29, 1998 bringing to an end his 38 year career
with the City of Vernon. -
