RESOLUTION NO. 7368
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF PURCHASE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS WITH VISUAL
STRUCTURES, INC. USA FOR NEW CONSOLE FURNITURE
FOR THE COMMUNICATIONS CENTER OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, on June 1, 1999, by Resolution No. 7342, the
City Council of the City of Vernon directed the Purchasing Agent,
pursuant to Section 2.29-3 of the Vernon City.Code, to enter into
negotiations with Visual Structures, Inc. USA ("Visual
Structures") for the purchase of a console for the Vernon Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has entered into and
completed negotiations with Visual Structures; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said negotiations, Visual Structures
has agreed to sell to the City a console for the Police
Department, and to deliver and install said console, at a cost of
Thirty One Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Five Dollars and No Cents
($31,325.00), including tax; and
WHEREAS, on June 14, 1999, the Finance Committee.approved
the recommendation of Bruce V. Malkenhorst, the Director of
Finance, that the console for the Police Department be purchased
from Visual Structures at a cost of Thirty One Thousand Three
Hundred Twenty Five Dollars and No Cents ($31,325.00), including
tax.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does.

hereby find and determine that the recitals contained hereinabove
are true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approves the Equipment Purchase Contract with Visual Structures,
an original of which has been presented to the City Council
concurrently with this Resolution, and the City Council hereby
orders said contract to be received and filed by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Vernon
authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said contract
for, and on behalf of, the City of Vernon.
SECTION 4: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
authorizes the issuance of a purchase order for the purchase of
the new console, including delivery and installation, from Visual
Structures.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

Vernon, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution, being
Resolution No. 7368 was duly adopted by the City Council of the
City of Vernon at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council
duly held on Tuesday, July 13, 1999, and thereafter was duly
signed by the Mayor of the City of Vernon.
